Don't Just Mask the Pain. Fix the Root Cause.
At Podiatry Hub, we take a modern, conservative approach to heel and tendon pain.
We do not believe in rushing patients through 10-minute appointments or relying solely on “quick-fix” gadgets and symptom masking. Instead, we dedicate the time to conduct thorough, comprehensive assessments. By analysing your movement, your foot mechanics, and your lifestyle, we identify the exact mechanical overload causing your pain-and build a customised rehabilitation programme so it doesn’t come back.
Conditions We Treat
Plantar Fasciitis
The Symptoms: Sharp, stabbing pain under the heel or arch, particularly first thing in the morning or after periods of rest.
Our Approach: We focus on reducing the strain on the plantar fascia through targeted load management, footwear modifications, and selective orthotic therapy.

Achilles Tendonitis & Tendinopathy
The Symptoms: Stiffness, swelling, or pain at the back of the heel and calf, often worsening during or after running, walking uphill, or sports.
Our Approach: Tendons require careful, progressive loading. We design tailored strengthening programmes and biomechanical corrections to restore tendon capacity safely.

General Heel & Arch Pain
The Symptoms: Deep bruising sensations, heel spurs, fat pad irritation, or a generalised ache after long hours standing on hard surfaces.
Our Approach: From shock absorption strategies to resolving complex gait abnormalities, we provide long-term relief for tired, overworked feet.
Our 3-Step Assessment Pathway
We take the guesswork out of your recovery. Here is what you can expect during your initial consultation at our Heel Pain Centre:
Step 1: Clinical History & Lifestyle Mapping
We sit down with you to understand exactly when your pain started, what aggravates it, the treatments you have already tried, and what your specific recovery goals are (whether that is returning to marathon running or simply walking the dog pain-free).
Step 2: Gait Analysis & Biomechanical Testing
We assess your lower limb biomechanics from the ground up. By observing your walking or running gait, testing your joint mobility, and checking your muscle strength, we pinpoint the mechanical imbalances placing stress on your heel.
Step 3: Customised Rehabilitation & Treatment Plan
We design a clear, step-by-step recovery plan tailored to you. This may include targeted strengthening exercises, footwear advice, strapping, or the prescription of medical-grade 3D-scanned custom orthotics (only if clinically necessary).
Meet Your Heel Pain Experts
Our senior podiatrists have extensive postgraduate experience in managing complex, recurring lower limb pain. We are frequently consulted for second opinions by patients who have not found relief elsewhere.
- Dylan McDonald (Senior Podiatrist): Dylan has a particular interest in musculoskeletal conditions and load management. He is highly valued for his ability to explain complex movement issues in simple terms, helping active individuals and workers get back on their feet.
- Josh Condon (Senior Podiatrist): With a highly specialised clinical focus on lower limb biomechanics and sports injuries, Josh takes an education-first approach. He ensures you understand exactly why your pain developed and how your treatment will fix it.
Transparent Funding & Fees
We believe premium healthcare should be transparent. Unlike high-turnover clinics, we provide 45-minute comprehensive assessments to ensure we have the time to get your diagnosis right.
- Private Health Insurance: We offer on-the-spot HICAPS claiming for all major private health funds.
- Medicare (EPC/CDM Plans): We accept Medicare Chronic Condition Management Plan referrals from your GP. Please note, as a private clinic, a small gap fee applies to Medicare consultations to allow for our longer appointment times.
- DVA & NDIS: We proudly support Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Gold and White Card holders and self-managed/plan-managed NDIS participants.
